obama_blackberryIt must be already pretty much common sense that when something becomes unpopular towards our current President, he gives the consistent and negative result to question it by any means necessary. When Arizona’s Bill threatened his plans for amnesty in order to save his precious liberal majority, he questioned its constitutionality despite it being nothing more than creating state involvement in a federal law.  Suddenly he makes himself an expert at a factor he knows nothing about (how can someone who does backdoor deals for a criminal policy know the constitution?) and begins a verbal attack believing the response will be the American people bowing at his will.

Recently his beloved technology, an instrument he used to get his current job and has assisted him in the past, has become an enemy. Not only through Republican leaders increasing their use to employ the advanced tool for their actions, agenda and upcoming campaigns, but via the beginnings of America using it to find out what is being done in their name and reacting in droves. At the Tax Day Rally in Washington, DC it was commented many times that technology such as the internet and blackberry has resulted in the impact the citizen organization has already created even in its beginning stages.  Despite this being a great thing for America, because of the response that has hit the Democratic majority, Obama has began downgrading it beginning with of all locations a college graduation commencement speech.

Speaking in front of Hampton University, a president who, when his term began had trouble even letting go of his blackberry so the Secret Service could create firewalls for its information’s protection, began questioning the informability and credibility of the technology. Stating, “With iPods and iPads and Xboxes and PlayStations — none of which I know how to work — information becomes a distraction, a diversion, a form of entertainment — rather than a tool of empowerment, rather than the means of emancipation..”

He continued to say, “So all of this (technology) is not only putting pressure on you; it’s putting new pressure on our country and on our democracy.”  There is no more pressure on Democracy than there is actually a release.  Finally, democracy is beginning to re-enter homes and the public’s minds at the same level as when our nation was first born and people collected at town squares, pubs and homes to discuss this new idea called America.  Today, technology is very much a tool of “empowerment”. Awaking from their Democrat Coma, Americans are reacting in droves through this avenue in order to finally have their say in what is done to their country.  This, if anything, is the only thing Obama’s election has given us. However, more and more he is seeing it as a gift against him and therefore nothing more than less education and more entertainment.

The same objective that assisted in getting him elected, and more currently is working to get him dejected, is now “entertainment” because it is against him.  Further, he is actually so power drunk that he believes these statements can avert everyone’s eyes from a tool he once used to get the most powerful office in the nation because it’s not working for him anymore.  Despite this however, he seems not to care about using it against unwritten but well known rules such as the understanding that Supreme Court Justice nominees are not to be interviewed before confirmation with a recent online “interview” with candidate Kagen. (Interview is in quotes because if it is watched you can see it being no more an interview than ObamaCare is a jobs legislation).

Once again however, no attack is resulting from this other than a few blogs and some mainstream articles.  While the Golden Boy has lost its gleam toward the nation, major members of the media are a different story.  Let us think for a moment what would happen if George Bush said the same thing. After all, if you really compare and contrast you can see that the internet’s disapproval was greatly more than anything Obama has faced yet.  Many can recall photos of Bush with horns, emulating him as the Devil as well as photos and videos of anything edited and played.  If he had reacted the same way Obama has, he would have been publicly crucified.

As a result, this event and its results is in addition to being an example of Obama disliking things that work against him and voicing against it, but also the bias major media has against the right-wing. Thankfully, while there is no wrong Obama can do when it comes to the mainstream media, the American people are a different story.
